I just got to Rei's introductory chapter in the manga "Digimon Adventure V-Tamer 01", and I instantly fell in love with her. She looks a lot like Sora, but with much more comic relief potential, not to mention that she seems to be fairly rational at the moment. Synopsis: this pairing might work better than Tai/Sora, depending on the writer.
Sadly, though, the manga is nowhere near as well-known as the anime, so it's kind of underwhelming in the fanfiction department.

There used to be one on One Manga, but they're closing down. I would suggest going to Manga Fox and look for it there. Granted, I haven't finished the series either, but still....

Manga Fox appears to be complete, and if you need to, then use your forum time on the manga -- it'll be better spent that way, trust me.
